Life Line Screening
July 16 | St. Mark De Pere
According to the American Stroke Association, 80% of strokes are preventable yet stroke is the No. 5 cause of death in the U.S. On average, every minute that a stroke goes untreated 1.9 million brain cells die
On Tuesday, July 16, Life Line Screening will be at our De Pere campus, offering safe, painless, non-invasive screenings that do not require you to disrobe. These screenings are typically not a part of a routine physical.
A package of four screenings to identify risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions will be offered:
• Carotid artery ultrasound to identify plaque buildup in the carotid arteries.
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound to identify presence of an enlargement in the largest blood vessel in the body.
• An EKG to identify the presence of atrial fibrillation.
• Ultrasound of the lower legs to look for plaque buildup known as peripheral arterial disease
These four screenings are $149 and take 60-90 minutes to complete.
